God is always at work in a believer's life. Sometimes things are very difficult and hard to understand how God could be “doing” this. 15 Years and Counting!

April 7th, 1994 was the day I opened my business, Encore Multimedia. Today we celebrate our 15th year. It is amazing. I started in my garage and was the only employee. 15 years later we are the leading advertising firm in the region with 3 offices. In spite of mistakes, immaturity and disasters, we are still here and doing well. I want to thank God for allowing me to do it and for keeping us these 15 years. I want to thank my wife Brenda for encouraging me to go for it, my children Grayce and Jeff, Lloyd Bolding for helping me with a lot of practical business wisdom, Bo Bolding for encouraging and partnering with me to go for it, the team of various people over the years who have helped me build the company into what it is today and finally thanks to all of our customers over the years who have been loyal to us and allowed us to serve you. I am humbled. Thank you all!

Words of Wisdom
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

The Days We Live In
"For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope."
- Jeremiah 29:11.

God spoke this to Jeremiah during probably some of the darkest days in Israel's history. Yet, if they would turn back to God, Jeremiah 29:11 was God's promise and plan. He is a good God and does not take pleasure in any or our suffering. But if we ignore His ways we will suffer. So I pray we all turn back to the God of the Bible who created heaven and earth and us all and sent His Son to die on the cross to bring us all back to Him.

OK, the election did not turn out the way I wanted. But it is what it is and I am going to follow this Bible command found in 1 Timothy 2:1-3...

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.

Whether I agree philosophically with the new government or not, it is a difficult job they have to do and the personification of evil would will to lead these people astray.

Joe the Plumber
It is amazing how the media and the Obama campaign has attempted to tear the average American, "Joe the Plumber," to pieces mocking him at every turn just for asking some pointed questions about Obama's tax policies. Joe was never disrespectful to Obama, he just wanted to know how the senator's plan would affect him if he purchased the plumbing business. The way the Obama campaign and the media has treated this average, "Joe," since that time is exactly how they really feel about the average American (that would be you and me). They look down on us with contempt, arrogance, and mockery. Vote McCain Palin.

DON'T VOTE!
There has been a big push to get out the vote this year. Just because someone is registered to vote doesn't mean they should. Hopefully you are not just a puppet being manipulated by the left or the right and just doing what they say. If you are...

DON'T VOTE!

The more books a family has and reads, the higher their kids score on tests. Families that have over 100 books in their home and read those books have higher test scores in math, science, humanities and civics than families that have fewer than 10 books in their home and do not read them.

The lowest ratings of all...
The media likes to tell the world how low President Bush's ratings are (low 30's). They don't mention very often how low the Democratic Congress ratings are (9%). The thing I would love to see is for the country to do an approval rating on the media. I am sure the media which has become a 4th power of government with no accountability would be rated much lower than even congress.

Remembering 9/11
Jesus said in Luke 12 that, ..."a man's life does not consist of his possessions." Contrary to what advertising constantly tells us, life is not in things. The true meaning of life is God and people... our families, relatives, friends, and co-workers. We pause today to remember those lives lost during 9/11 and to grieve with those who lost loved ones during that horrible day. We share grief and tears with you... and we rejoice in the good memories you have of those you loved.

We also thank those who have kept us safe since. Unlike some elements in our society we recognize and appreciate it very much. In spite of what you might think about the war in Iraq, i believe one person that should be at the top of the list of people to thank is President George Bush. He lead us during a very difficult time and we have not been attacked since.

May we all turn back to the God who loves us and has our best interest at heart and has enabled us to have loved ones and a great nation to enjoy.
