ABC Auto Parts 50th Anniversary
To celebrate ABC Auto’s 50th anniversary, Encore Multimedia produced a fully animated, 3D television spot that displays the evolution of the automobile since 1968 and highlights ABC’s history over the last 50 years. The creative concept is a cross between visual techniques seen in classic movie title sequences and today’s popular 3D projection mapping used by major automotive makers.
The spot truly captures the attention of both traditional and digital media viewers and pays tribute to the deep roots that ABC Auto Parts has in the East Texas and Shreveport/Bossier communities. The commercial is airing all over East Texas on OTT (over-the-top), broadcast television, cable, satellite, and YouTube, as part of the 50th anniversary campaign. A corresponding radio spot and web banners are also being utilized to help spread the word about the big milestone celebration on both traditional and digital platforms.
In addition to the new media placements, ABC is also celebrating its anniversary in person with its customers by running a “50 Days of ABC Auto Savings” event that includes special pricing on popular products. In order to promote these special deals, Encore Multimedia is utilizing TV, radio, and digital marketing.
And last but not least, to show support of the local community and future of the automotive industry, ABC Auto Parts recently awarded $5,000 scholarships to two area high school seniors wishing to pursue an automotive vocational career upon graduation. The selection was based upon an application and an essay on the student’s plans to impact the automotive industry.
